Hyaluronic acid injections

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally present in the skin, which retains water and maintains volume. Injected by a doctor with a needle or cannula, it fills wrinkles, restores volume and rehydrates the skin. It is gradually absorbed by the body.

How it works

As we age, the skin becomes dehydrated, thinner and creased. Expression lines often appear around 30 when the face moves, then deepen from 40 and remain visible at rest.

The doctor chooses a more or less cross-linked hyaluronic acid depending on the aim: lightly cross-linked for fine lines and hydration, medium for wrinkles, highly cross-linked to restore volume and tightening. It can be combined with Nanofat, a micro-graft of your own fat.

Are hyaluronic acid injections painful?

Most products contain a local anaesthetic and injection can be done with a cannula, limiting discomfort. Slight tenderness or small bruises may appear for a few days.
