Thread lift: treating sagging without surgery
Facial ageing also shows as sagging skin: surgical lifting is no longer the only answer. Tensor threads, placed under the skin without general anaesthesia, reposition and support tissues while respecting their integrity.

How it works
The doctor inserts fine threads under the skin with a needle or cannula, along a path defined during the consultation. The threads support sagging tissues and stimulate collagen production.
There are two types of threads: absorbable threads, which disappear in about two years and can be renewed, and non-absorbable threads. Volumising absorbable threads can also be offered as soon as the first wrinkles appear.
Indications
- Loss of jawline definition and jowls
- Sagging cheeks and neck
- First wrinkles (volumising threads)
- Loose skin on arms and abdomen
Good to know
- No general anaesthesia and no surgical scar.
- Dr Roland Marquet is a certified expert trainer for this technique.
- The choice between absorbable and non-absorbable threads is made during the consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Does a thread lift replace a facelift?
It treats mild to moderate sagging without surgery. For significant sagging, a surgical facelift may be more suitable: the doctor will advise you during the consultation.
How long do absorbable threads last?
Absorbable threads disappear in about two years. They can be renewed, and the collagen production they stimulate continues beyond that.
